Behind the Gang
Below are the members of the gang team who help to being the show together.
Producer: Keith Harding
Keith is a true Cestrian and has been in the movement since being a cub! He has had many roles in Scouting including ASL at the 46th Chester, SL, AGSL and GSL at 1st Christleton and ADC (Scouts) for Chester and District. He is presently ACSL at Cestrian Scout Group (formerly 25th Chester).
Keith first appeared in Chester Gang Show (then "Scoutabout") in 1967 and has been involved with 26 shows since, both in the Gang and backstage. Keith entered the Production Team as Cub Director for the 2007 show and has taken on that role this year in addition to the Producer’s job, having hung up his "pink suit and flashing wand!!"

Choreographer: Jim Woodley
Jim originally became involved with the Chester Gangshow back in 1987 in the role of Lighting Designer when he joined the Gateway Theatre's Staff. Three years later, and many Ales, he offered his services to Roy in a choreographic capacity as well as lighting design.
He has always had a penchant for Fosse, and in 1992 he staged the opening of the Show using Fosse's "Magic to do" from the obscure Musical "Pippin". In 2001 he revisited "Pippin" with an item featuring a potted version of the show and 2002 he put together a compilation from another Fosse Show, this time "Chicago".

Musical Director: Colin Parfitt
Colin was born and bred in the Wrexham area where still at school, he obtained his first diploma in music. He has worked professionally with Lenny Henry and David Copperfield, to mention but two. He is currently a music teacher at Blacon High School, from where he draws some of his musicians. Their school band performed last year for the Prince of Wales. Colin took over as maestro in 1980 when the long serving Bill Brickland retired due to ill health. He has been Musical Director for many local operatic societies and seems to be digging in for a long stint with Gang Show.
If you want to contact Colin, his e-mail address is musicdirect@chestergangshow.net
Stage Director: Geoff Morris
Geoff joined the Scouts when he was about 12, but he really made his mark as a stalwart of the old Chester District Rover Crew. He appeared in various shows at the Royalty Theatre and then at the ABC. He came to fame in his present role in 1973 via his work at the ABC under Charlie Jones. He is now much sought after by many local societies as the most professional amateur Stage Director in the business.

Scenery Manager: Tom Coates
If you want to contact Tom, his e-mail address is scenery@chestergangshow.net
Wardrobe: Pam Jones
Pam has been in Scouting in Chester since 1986 with the 40th Chester Scout Group forming their Beaver Colony and then as Scout leader and now as GSL. Husband Trevor, daughter Charly & son Chris are also involved as leaders with the group and the gang show.
Joined the cast of the Gangshow in the same year. During her early years" she occasionally helped Lil Edmunds with small sewing jobs with wardrobe. When Vicky took over as wardrobe mistress she, along with Kath Kitchen, did all the sewing. When Vicky and Kath decided to leave the gangshow she took over as Wardrobe mistress and the 2002 show was her first "solo" effort. As well as doing the costumes she remained in the gang and hopes to continue to do so.
If you want to contact Pam, her e-mail address is wardrobe@chestergangshow.net
Business Committee: Gerald Roose
Gerald joined Scouting in 1948 with the 8th Chester Group but his predicted membership of six weeks has now stretched over 50 years. His first appearance in Gang Show was in the Cathedral Refectory in 1953. There then followed various roles in sketches and theatres up to the present. However, having provided sound over the years for all sorts of local drama Groups and societies, he has deserted the stage for the department of funny noises at the back!
