Producer's Letter (2014)

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our 58th Chester Gang Show. Well someone has to do it, so "Here We Go".

The production team have worked tirelessly again to write items that the Gang have really enjoyed rehearsing and performing. We are always looking for a challenge and new ways of doing things, so I hope that you will find a good balance of some "old favourites" right through to those specially written and adapted by a number of our "in house" production team. Without this level of help and dedication, Chester Gang Show would not be what it is today!

I would therefore like to express my sincere thanks to the whole team supporting Gang Show 2014 and to the very many other people, both within & outside Scouting, for their support and loyalty to the show, and for giving the opportunity to the Gang to continue this annual Scouting i activity in which they clearly love to be involved. All concerned have been tireless in their enthusiasm and have been fantastic to work with. They are a credit to themselves and their Scout Groups. I am so very proud of each and every one of them, well done Gang. I would also like to express my gratitude to our Gang Show active support members for their continued commitment and help in organising and running yet another successful fun-filled Gang Show camp.

In this year's "Re-Revued" show we'll be going to the "Island of Danger" with "Spy Cubs" and may ?nd "The Story of the Shadows" explained along the way. We will be meeting "Tramps"; "Mrs Mace"; members of the "Ladies Choral Society"; people who are "Young at Heart" and youngsters who "Believe in Themselves". There will be some "Movie Moments" as we travel through "Wonderland" and "Backstage", followed by "California Dreamin'" while enjoying a "Milky Bar" to keep you going. In short "Here's To Us"! What a "Great, Great, Game" - If you would like to be part of it in the future, please get in touch.

Finally, I must thank you, our audience, for your continued support - without you we simply would not be able to do it, and give the young people the opportunity and experience they may otherwise never get. So, sit back and let the members of Chester and District Scout Gang brighten your day with singing, dancing and laughter.
